  • First click on “Internet Access” icon on you Task Bar.
  • Then click on “Open Network And Sharing Center”.

  • Now a window will open. Now in this window in the left hand side column click on “Manage Wireless Networks”.

  • In the next window click on “Add”.

  • Now click on “Create An Ad Hoc Network”.

  • Now in the next window just click on next.

  • Now in this step you have to configure your network setting like the way you want.Fill any name in the network name blank, select the security type you want and your network password but i would recommend that you don’t keep any security let it be none for easy usage. In the end click on “Save This Network” and click on “next” to continue.

  • Now you are almost done.Just a few clicks away.
  • In the next window click on “Turn On Internet Connection Sharing” and then wait till your internet connection is shared and then click on close in the next window.

  • Now the final step. Now open settings in your iphone or ipod touch then click on wifi then let it search and select the network you created.
  • Now open “Safari” and browse internet easily.

To use this trick you need a WiFi enabled Laptop/Pc. Don’t you? It’s like you are using the in-built Wifi on your Laptop to transmit the data.
So where exactly does a broadband router come in the picture?

You are sharing your internet connection which you are recieving from your broadband modem.

You are just sharing your internet connection. From where you are getting it (USB, data card, Wifi, router et al) doesn’t matter.
